Le principali agenzie di stampa online italiane. Un'agenzia di stampa (in inglese news agency oppure newswire) è un ente giornalistico il cui scopo è la fornitura di notizie ad altri organi di informazione come giornali, riviste, emittenti televisive e radiofoniche.
Le agenzie di stampa possono essere delle aziende che vendono i loro servizi (es. Reuters, Italpress, AGI, Adnkronos) oppure delle cooperative costituite da diversi organi di informazione allo scopo di condividere le informazioni (es. Associated Press). Esse nacquero in seguito all'invenzione del telegrafo. La prima agenzia di stampa in Italia fu la Agenzia Stefani.
